Home History Board Members Activity Groups Service Projects Membership Contact us! International MOMS ClubŪ | Infant/Toddler Playgroup This is a playgroup for children ages 3 and under. We meet every Wednesday at a member's home to play and make new friends. Preschool Playgroup This is a playgroup for children ages 3-5. We meet alternating Thursdays and Fridays at a member's home (or at a park if it's nice!) to enjoy our brown-bag lunches and some playtime with friends. School Age Playgroup This is a playgroup for children 5 and up. We meet once a month at a member's home to play and make new friends. Book Group This club meets once a month at a member's home to share thoughts about a book selected ahead of time by the hostess, or to just talk about what they've been reading lately. Beverages and snacks are provided to stimulate book discussion! Book & Cook Group We meet periodically at a member's home or during our MOMS Monthly Meeting to read a book with our children and cook something relating to the story. Examples include reading a book about lemonade, and then making lemonade, or reading a book about dirt and worms and making "Mud Pudding." Cooking Group Once a month, we meet at a member's home and bring a prepared dish to fit the chosen theme. We each take a taste of each dish and vote for our favorite. The dish with the most votes is selected for the Recipe of the Month. We also bring copies of our recipe, so everyone goes home with another recipe to add to their collection. Past themes have been pies, cookie cook off, one pot wonders and kids' snacks. Co-op Group This is a dedicated group that takes it in turn to babysit for one another in exchange for a few child-free hours per week. Co-op shares are offered seasonally: Fall, Winter/Spring, and Summer. The kids enjoy seeing regular friends and faces weekly, while we enjoy our weekly mini-vacations! Couples' Night Out Every other month or so, we try to get together with our spouses in tow so that they can mingle and we can all get to know each other better. We have a lot of fun at these get-togethers, which have included Pizza Taste-offs, Euchre tournaments, and BBQs. Family Day/Night Out These happen about every other month and gives mothers, fathers, and children an opportunity to mingle. In the past, we have enjoyed Tunes by the Tridge, a visit to the Chippewa Nature Center, participated in the Pumpkin Festival, attended a Loons game, and strolled through Dow Gardens' Christmas Walk. Lunch Bunch Another of our monthly activities, we get together either at a park or an indoor location with a play structure to eat lunch together and let the kids play. Of course, they don't eat much, they're too busy playing! ;) MOMS Night Out We do these once a month to remind our moms what it's like to socialize with adults. :) Open Activities These activities include field trips and outings to parks, local establishments, and community activities. Sunshine Group This wonderful club provides a flower for our moms on their birthdays and meals to our families who have recently welcomed home a new baby. Walking Group We meet weekly to walk away those post-baby problem areas. :) |
